Rhythm of Belonging
Monthly Sacred Song Circle
Singing has and always will be a sacred technology of healing, remembrance, and resistance.
We are living through deeply challenging and uncertain times, and many of us are longing for spaces where we can soften, feel, and remember that we are not alone. Rhythm of Belonging was created from a soul-level need for collective healing, connection, and embodied aliveness—a place where we can fully access our humanity.
Join Amanda Lucia in song and heart coherence, where singing becomes a bridge back to ourselves, our ancestors, and one another. Together, we’ll sing a mixture of resistance, liberation, medicine, grief, and joy songs, all taught in the oral tradition. No singing experience is required, all singing levels are welcome and encouraged.
“Singing in community at Rhythm of Belonging is a balm to the soul in these times of isolation and collapse. To be held in the collectively woven vibrations, harmonies, words, and rhythms is a profound gift. No singing experience or skill required. Amanda is a talented facilitator and gentle leader who welcomes everyone. She gathers us to her deep wells of generosity and grace for the shy beginner and skilled musician alike. Learning song in a call and response style is ancestral and awakens long sleeping memories of connection. A potent healing technique, I recommend it to everyone who feels burned out, disconnected, or longing for more meaning."
- Ellen
In a world that often leaves us isolated and disconnected, gathering in song is a rebellious act of hope…and a big middle finger to the myth of separation.
What can you expect from a Rhythm of Belonging gathering?
We gather in a circle, seated on bolsters or chairs around a central altar. The evening begins with an opening share about the heart behind this offering and the importance of communal, non-performative singing — not to sound “good,” but to remember ourselves through voice, presence, and connection.
I’ll guide us through the flow of the evening, offering gentle invitations and agreements to help cultivate a space that feels grounded, supportive, and nourishing for all. From there, we settle into a guided meditation to arrive more fully in our bodies, soften into our hearts, and reconnect with the present moment.
The meditation ends with layered heart humming and simple harmonies begin to weave through the space, creating a felt sense of belonging and resonance. Together, we call in our circle of support — our ancestors, blood relatives, chosen family, and the unseen threads of love that hold us. This creates a more permission giving and capacious container for our voices to flow freely.
From there, we journey into song. Through the oral tradition, we learn simple, repetitive songs that gradually build into layered harmonies and spontaneous improvisational weaving. This is not about performance or perfection — it’s about expression, remembrance, and allowing our voices to guide us back home.
Singing together reminds us that we are all part of one vast and beautiful web.
“My first visit to this song circle was amazing. I loved it so much! Also, some very old layers of yuck that I've been trying to move out of my body just spontaneously released and peeled away in the night. All that sacred singing turned out to be a powerful healing force for me, which was unexpected. After that first circle, I've continued to attend every month I'm free, because I just can't get enough of this experience. I'm not usually a singer-in-public and this has turned out to be such a welcoming venue for me to try something new and scary. I find that each circle flies by in a river of warm, beautiful sound and community, and I'm never ready for them to end. I have much appreciation for Amanda's creation and leadership of this magical opportunity.”

“Singing in community has been beyond nourishing. The container Amanda creates feels ancestral. The songs have roots that remember me into my lineage and the belonging is shaped by voice and heart. Rhythm of Belonging has become a place for me to hear my voice and the voices of my ancestors. Thank you Amanda, for finding your voice so that I can find mine. Deep bow.”

YES. This circle is a beautiful space for moving through the tender and sticky layers many of us hold around our voices. Our song circle is rooted in warmth, support, and belonging, where imperfection, vulnerability, and messiness are not only welcomed, but celebrated. You do not need to sound a certain way or “get it right.” Singing is your birthright and your voice is inherently worthy.

We gather every 2nd Saturday of the month from 7pm - 9pm
